  • Episode 9: Hope Begins With Thanksgiving
    2025/12/01

In this episode of Answer the Call, we're finally back!
Clint and Heather dive into a different kind of Thanksgiving conversation. This isn’t about turkey, parades, or family gatherings… this is about coming to Jesus with Thanksgiving.

Most of us come to God with stress, fear, anxiety, and requests. But Scripture teaches us something different:
    Come to Him with gratitude.
    Enter His presence with thanksgiving.
    Give thanks in all circumstances.

    Together we explore:

🔥 Why thanksgiving is the doorway into God’s presence🔥 How gratitude disrupts anxiety and darkness🔥 Why Jesus thanked the Father BEFORE miracles🔥 How suffering produces perseverance, character, and hope🔥 Practical ways to bring a thankful heart into your everyday life🔥 Why gratitude is an act of faith—not an emotion

Heather also shares how praise pulled her through some of her most difficult seasons, and Clint reflects on how thanksgiving matures our hearts and reshapes our perspective.

If you’re in a winter season, a storm, or a season of joy—come to Jesus with thanksgiving.
There is power in it. There is peace in it. And God meets us in it.

We pray this episode encourages you, challenges you, and draws you nearer to Christ.

If this blessed you today, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and leave a comment. We’d love to hear what season you're in and what you're thanking God for today.

  • Episode 8: Not Politics, But Principalities
    2025/09/18

In this powerful episode of Answer the Call, we dive into the reality of spiritual warfare and what the Bible says about the end times.

We begin by reflecting on the tragic death of Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed while speaking on a college campus in Utah. Whether you agreed with him or not, this was not just politics — this was an attack on life, truth, freedom of speech, and ultimately the Body of Christ. Scripture reminds us: “Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12).

Too many are content to frame these events as political — but the enemy is behind the curtain. We see him. And by the power of Jesus Christ, we are calling him out. “Greater is He that is in you than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4).

From there, we turn to what Jesus Himself taught about the last days — the signs, the warnings, and most importantly, the hope of His return. This episode is not about fear or speculation, but about preparation. It’s about “cleaning house” spiritually: removing sin, closing doors to the enemy, and leading our families to walk faithfully with Christ.

💡 In this episode we cover:

    • Why the events we’re seeing are more than politics — they are spiritual warfare.

    • What Jesus said about the end times (Matthew 24, Luke 21, 2 Timothy 3, Revelation 21).

    • The call to “fear not” in Scripture and how to stand firm in faith.

    • How to prepare your heart and your home for Christ’s return.

    • Why the end times are not just doom and gloom — but filled with hope, revival, and the promise of Jesus’ appearing.

    📖 Key Verses Referenced:

    • Ephesians 6:12

    • 1 John 4:4

    • Matthew 24:36–44

    • 2 Timothy 3:1–5

    • Revelation 21:3–4…and many more.

🙏 Our prayer is that this conversation encourages you to wake up, clean house, and be ready for the return of our King.

📌 Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share this episode with someone who needs encouragement in these times.

  • Episode 7: God’s Humor in Scripture
    2025/09/04

After a couple of heavier episodes on spiritual warfare, we’re catching our breath with a joyful, Bible-focused conversation on God’s sense of humor and the awkward/funny moments tucked throughout Scripture. From Sarah laughing at God’s promise to Balaam’s talking donkey and Rhoda forgetting to open the door for Peter, these stories remind us that God made laughter, uses irony to teach, and loves working through wonderfully human people.

🙏 Thanks to our friends at Highland Church of Christ for the space today, and thanks to YOU for listening!
