Join Robin and Chris as they dive into the chilling story of one of the most famous haunted dolls in modern paranormal lore, Annabelle. Discover the real events behind the movies, including the doll’s origins as a birthday gift to nursing student Donna in the 1970s, the early strange activity that terrified her and her roommate, and the mysterious notes that appeared seemingly out of nowhere.

Learn how psychic mediums and friends became involved, and how Ed and Lorraine Warren, the famed paranormal investigators, assessed the situation. The Warrens concluded that a dangerous entity was attempting to attach itself to humans, prompting exorcism attempts and the doll’s removal from the apartment. Explore Annabelle’s history in the Warrens’ Occult Museum, the precautions surrounding her, and the recent sale of the former museum home to comedian Matt Rife and YouTuber Elton Castee.

The episode also covers Annabelle’s cultural impact, inspiring the Conjuring Universe films, the myths and misconceptions surrounding her, and the ongoing fascination with haunted objects. Finally, we explore skeptic perspectives and fun historical tidbits about the Warrens’ collection and the doll’s place in paranormal pop culture.
