  • Episode 13: This is Our Punk-Rock...allegedly!
    2026/07/17

In an effort to really lean into the opinions portion of our title, our purveyors of "punk" decide it's a good idea to look at the top 100 punk albums of all time from Rolling Stone (le sigh) with an extremely bitter eye. The conversation then breaks down into what truly is considered punk (it ain't Paramore, that's for sure) and how the term has morphed and evolved (or devolved like a Neandrethal) into what it is in 2026. The rant should be sponsored by Malort (only by one person) and possibly Tums (after the Malort). Oh, there's a WAYLT segment too. Come for the bitter faces Brad makes, stay for the opinions.

  • Episode 12: Be Our (Opinionated) Guest!
    2026/07/07

In a very welcoming episode, the boys bring in a 4th (and not in some polycule way). Our friend from WIDB Chris becomes our first (and hopefully not our last) guest on the Pod. His origin story is one of brotherhood and gaining musical and critical wisdom from his older sibling. He talks about his philosophy on music listening, some of his favorite record stores, gets ran through a gauntlet of hard questions, and seems to enjoy himself (although I think he was putting on airs just to make us feel good). He also participates in the WAYLT segment and we all go home happy. Come for the musical lovefest, stay for the opinions.

  • Episode 11: Forgive me Father For I Have Sonically Sinned
    2026/06/30

After surviving the last episode (it wasn't that bad, was it?), our characters of culpability show their vulnerable sides by discussing their musical regrets. They lay out all the cards on the table and put their reputations on the line and come out....possibly unscathed? Whether it's fandoms, purchases, or trends, it's all out and exposed. Also, Brad produces a list which causes anger then Al trumps him with another list and these lists combined produce CAPTAIN OPINIONS. (Spoiler Alert: The statements are not very flattering.) The WAYLT segment is jam packed with non-regrettable selections and the show ends with a benediction (not really). Come for the Usher-less confessions, stay for the opinions.

Editor's Note: John makes a reference to Ace of Base. He meant 3rd Bass. Yes, he is an idiot. This will be mentioned in a future episode.

  • Episode 10: The Cultural Exchange Vol. 1
    2026/06/26

After 10 episodes of AOCTO, the boys decide to go completely off format and choose violence (potentially). Part psychological experiment, part study in sabotage, Al, Brad, and John listen to each others suggested music from the past 9 shows. Will this be the end of this pod? Can you assault someone over a webcam? Will there be uncontrolled sobbing? (Not on camera because we ain't no punks). Also, Brad attempts to dunk on the concept of the greatest hits concept with mixed results. Come for the false sense of diplomacy, stay for the opinions.

  • Episode 9: Opinions Are Being Expressed At My House
    2026/06/23

In this episode of AOCTO, we discuss 1/5 of Maslow's basic needs (and no, it's not bourbon). It's the place where the musicians perform: The Venue. Al, Brad and John speak about the importance of this sonic shelter and compile a list of some of their favorites, hate on their quirks, and rave about the weirdest places they're seen bands (here's a hint: it's a place where veterans can consume cheap beer.) Also, the boys attempt to tie a relationship between metal and country, present a very noisy segment of What Are You Listening To, and all of the frivolity you would expect. Come for the merch table, stay for the opinions.

  • Episode 8: Trying To Get This Damn Label Off
    2026/05/21

What can only be described as the Fine Art of Pigeonholing, the lads from AOCTO delve feet first in the deep end of record labels and attempt to correlate buying and listening trends to various record labels. They go even deeper into the abyss known as music genres and wonder why there's a genre called s*&tgaze. The show wraps up with the universally pandered segment of WAYLT as always. Come for the preconceived notions, stay for the opinions.

  • Episode 7a: Under the Influence: The Influencening
    2026/04/29

In a story as old as time itself, our idiot influencers reveal important albums core to their formation as music obsessives. It's an episode so grand, they go completely off format and even possibly have to split the episodes into parts (Spoiler Alert: They do). The show answers all the pressing questions such as: Why is Brad Drinking Water? Why is a wooden spoon used as a sight gag? Why are they doing sight gags on an audio podcast? Come for the persuasion, stay for the opinions.
