American musician, Matteson Gregory, joins Tuck on this special episode of American Tales Live from the Show Me State of Missouri, USA.

This episode of American Tales was recorded live from the outdoor stage at the ‪14 Mill Market‬ in Nixa, Missouri. Huge shoutout to the team at 14 Mill Market for allowing us to host the event at their outstanding place to grab food and beverages while enjoying live entertainment in downtown Nixa, Missouri.

Tuck and Matteson roll back in time to discover the origins of her own American Tale, which began with her parents rock n' roll days in Phoenix, Arizona in the 90's. Matteson's parents would then transplant from the desert to Branson, Missouri or as Tuck calls it, "Christian Vegas" (trademark pending).

The influence of her parents' musical roots and the undeniable impact of 90's music and TV sitcoms forever shaped the fierce independent voice of now professional musician, Matteson Gregory. Just take a scroll through her Instagram and music catalog and you'll find 90's influence all throughout her fashion and music arrangements.

The two then tackle two important musical feats, Matteson's Mount Rushmore of Favorite Musicians and Tuck's favorite roadtrip game, Artist Alphabet. Please forgive the two for not remembering a solo act or band that started with the letter "X".

Matteson graciously outlines her plans for new music, an all-girls tour on the east coast, and why she fervently believes in her own ideology, Season One, built on embracing life's hardships and the value of learning from mistakes.

From being featured on Season One of Netflix's The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On to earning two nominations from the heralded Josie Awards, Matteson is gaining momentum through being unabashedly herself.

American musician, Garrick Fausett, joins Tuck for the debut of American Tales Live at The Hunt Club in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. If you would like to join Tuck at The Hunt Club, American Tales Live will be back at 8:00 pm CST on the first Thursday of the month for the rest of 2026.

Garrick, a self-described "Outlaw Folk" artist, is truly a homage to the Americana singer songwriters of the past that once defined American sound. Fausett discusses his roots growing up on Toby Keith CDs, yes CDs, and the influence of being in the marching band back in his Missouri hometown. Somehow no photos survived of Garrick wearing the itchy marching band outfits that are a relic of the longstanding tradition of marching bands across America.

Garrick performs three songs acoustically on this episode, including an unreleased song from a future album drop for this Tulsa transplant byway of Missouri.
