What does it really mean to love God with everything we have -- not just our words or our actions, but our actual hearts? That question sits at the center of a powerful encounter in Luke 7:36-50, where two very different people come face to face with Jesus, and only one of them truly sees him for who he is. A woman with a broken reputation walks into a room full of religious respectability, falls at the feet of Jesus, and pours out everything she has in an act of raw, unfiltered worship. Meanwhile, the religious insiders watch with judgment and confusion. The contrast could not be sharper. What made the difference? She understood the weight of what she owed and the miracle of what she had been given. This sermon challenges us to ask ourselves which person we more closely resemble -- the one who keeps a careful, comfortable distance from grace, or the one who lets the reality of forgiveness completely undo them. If our faith has started to feel like a routine rather than a rescue, this message invites us to go back to the beginning and feel the full force of what it means to be forgiven.
