Good morrow, Trillberry. Oscar J. Evans is upset with Mrs. G, so by Shakespearean decree, today’s Good Morning, Trillberry will be shorter than usual. Allegedly. This morning, Oscar tackles the scam known as adulting: why adults need to learn how to lose, why participation does not automatically deserve a trophy, and why Dorian may be denied a role even if he suddenly becomes brilliant—because at this point, the rejection is educational. Then Oscar turns to FX’s Adults. He loved Season 2 enough that he refuses to spoil a single thing, so instead he explains why Season 1 perfectly captures the terrifying truth of your twenties: nobody knows what they’re doing, somebody who can cook rice becomes the household elder, and adulthood is basically software with anxiety. And because responsible adults accept the consequences of their decisions, Oscar once again confronts the consequences of owning Barbara the Carnotaurus. Featuring “My Pet Carnotaurus Is Going to Eat You.” Good Morning, Trillberry — because somebody gave Oscar J. Evans a microphone, and apparently nobody has figured out how to take it back.
