We have another artist debuting today for Acid Rain from Sri Lanka. Born in Kuwait City and raised in the lush Hill Country of Sri Lanka, his passion for music was evident from a young age. His musical journey began with learning the drums and delving into genres such as hip-hop and rock. However, his artistic path took a transformative turn when he discovered the captivating realms of house and techno, where he found his true calling in underground and progressive music.

Since 2021, he has been a dedicated producer, creating mesmerizing grooves and captivating melodies that resonate deeply within the progressive house genre. His distinctive sound is influenced by renowned artists like Guy J, Subandrio, Cid Inc, Mariano Mellino, and Dmitry Molosh, all of whom have significantly shaped his musical identity. He signed to more than 10 prestigious record labels within the progressive house scene, showcasing his work on a global scale. His tracks have garnered widespread support and acclaim from around the world, solidifying his reputation as a rising star in the genre.

He has also shared the stage with some of the most respected names in the industry, including Stan Kolev, Matan Caspi, Dowden, Aaron Suiss, Teklix, and Noiyse Project. With an unwavering commitment to his craft, he continues to evolve as an artist, consistently pushing the boundaries of his music. We have a new addition on the podcast to spice things up, He is a UK-based artist who takes influence from many around him, from becoming a DJ to being taught how to play drums from a young age by his dad, Dee recognised how important the beat is in music – especially in Disco music, in which he is obsessed with.

Going from strength to strength, in less than 1 year, Dee went from playing in bars in his hometown of Aberdeen to opening for legend Trevor Nelson at his infamous Soul Nation event at the Ministry Of Sound nightclub in London. From there, Dee ended up playing multiple shows with Funk and Soul professional Craig Charles, playing at some of the UK’s biggest music festivals including Rewind and even touring as a support act for TV cult hero Super Hans. As much as Dee enjoys playing the big stages, he’s more comfortable providing the soundtrack to your night out in some of the best bars in Glasgow. Holding multiple residences in the city, you will find Dee blending some of his favourite tracks whilst you lay back & enjoy some cocktails.
