Most of us can name what we want in one word, happiness, peace, freedom, balance, confidence, but living it is another story. We open with research on what people say they desperately desire, then ask the question that matters: is that longing actually obtainable, or are we stuck chasing it forever?
From a Christian women’s perspective, we take that desire straight to Scripture and to Jesus’ promise of abundant life in John 10:10. We talk about what “abundance” really means, why it’s not reserved for a select few, and how God’s plans include hope and a future. We also get practical by using the fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5 as a real-life mirror: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. If those are the very things people crave, what changes when we believe they’re already present in Christ?
Then we slow down and get honest about the gap between what we have spiritually and what we experience emotionally. We walk through Jesus’ words about truth and freedom in John 8, his identity as the way, the truth, and the life in John 14, and his prayer in John 17 that our joy would be made full. From there, we connect the spiritual to the everyday: calmer relationships, less fear and anxiety, clearer decisions, and a shift from striving to resting. We end with a simple weekly prayer from Psalm 37:4 and an invitation to spend intentional time with God so your desires can be shaped by his presence.
