In this episode, we sit down with Erica Abbett to help us prepare for our upcoming research trip to the Elizabeth Peters/Barbara Mertz archives!
Erica has already made the pilgrimage, so we wanted to know everything: What was it like walking into the archives? What did she find? What surprised her? And, most importantly, what advice does she have for two Elizabeth Peters fans about to spend two glorious days digging through boxes of notes, drafts, correspondence, and other treasures?
We also talk about our favorite Elizabeth Peters books, Barbara Mertz's writing process, the possibilities hiding in an author's archives, and what we're hoping to discover when we get there.
