  • How should patients with ALL be selected for blinatumomab treatment?
    2026/10/15
The ALL Hub was pleased to speak with Sabina Chiaretti, Sapienza University, Rome, IT. We asked, What are the key considerations when determining the number and duration of blinatumomab treatment cycles? In this interview, Chiaretti discusses the key considerations when determining the number and duration of blinatumomab treatment cycles in B-ALL. She highlights factors that may inform treatment duration, including Philadelphia chromosome status, MRD response and genomic features. She also discusses clinical evidence supporting different treatment schedules across B-ALL treatment settings and the ongoing investigations into the optimal number and duration of blinatumomab cycles. • What is the potential impact of integrating reduced-chemo and chemo-free approaches into ALL treatment strategies?
    2026/09/29

The ALL Hub was pleased to speak with Elias Jabbour, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, US. We asked, What is the potential impact of integrating reduced-chemotherapy and chemotherapy-free approaches into acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) treatment strategies?

In this interview, Jabbour discusses the growing evidence supporting chemotherapy-reduced and chemotherapy-free treatment approaches in ALL. He highlights how advances in targeted therapies, including blinatumomab, inotuzumab ozogamicin, tyrosine kinase inhibitors, and CAR T-cell therapy, together with measurable residual disease-guided treatment strategies, are transforming the management of ALL. Drawing on recent clinical studies, he explores the potential to reduce chemotherapy intensity, minimize the need for allogeneic stem cell transplantation, and improve long-term outcomes across different ALL subtypes and patient populations.

    2026/08/11

During the ALL Hub Steering Committee meeting in April 2026, Daniel DeAngelo led a discussion on the latest findings from the phase Ib/II FELIX trial (NCT04404660) investigating obecabtagene autoleucel (obe-cel), a CD19-directed chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy in adults with relapsed/refractory (R/R) B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). The discussion featured contributions from Ibrahim Aldoss, José María Ribera, André Baruchel, Wendy Stock, and Nicolas Boissel.
