Six reactors, 6.6 gigawatts, one bend in the Ohio River — and it would be the biggest nuclear site in America.

The Nuclear Company unveiled Prosperity One, a proposed six-reactor AP1000 campus in Lewis County, Kentucky. It headlined a week when nuclear momentum ran alongside a $1.4 billion green prepayment bond from Clean Power Alliance — its seventh, closed with J.P. Morgan as prepaid supplier and expected to lock in roughly $91.1 million in savings over seven years.

Also this week: Betagro took a majority stake in Thai foodservice platform Freshket, which supplies more than 20,000 operators; Mérieux NutriSciences closed its purchase of Certified Group, adding ~$300 million in revenue, 31 labs and 1,600+ staff with Peugeot Invest and Continental Grain as new minority holders; Lindsay agreed to buy Brazilian hose-reel irrigation maker Setorial Irrigação; Metron bought submetering and leak-detection maker H2O Degree; Peak Energy raised an oversubscribed $108 million Series B led by General Motors Ventures for sodium-ion storage; Pivot Energy secured a $500 million credit facility from Nuveen; Commonwealth Fusion Systems signed an $85 million CHIPS Act letter of intent; AEP, Amazon and X-energy began studying a 960 MW SMR project in Sullivan County, Indiana; Kubota advanced its Agtonomy partnership onto an autonomous M5L orchard tractor; and the USDA rolled out an $8 billion Harvest Fuel Relief program.

This week's premium edition, Narrow Rows, compares September 2026 with September 2025 across land-based agriculture: records up from 199 to 227, but recorded funding halved from $2,802.2 million across 30 actions to $1,403.8 million across 12, with two entries carrying 97% of the month's capital.
