概要
A dead phone with a drained battery pinged a tower at 3:22 AM
In this episode, we lay out the sequence of events, movements, and evidence around a young woman found in a dry wash and the impossible cell-tower ping that followed. What happened between her last confirmed signal before 9:00 PM and that 3:22 AM tower hit?
Person: Connie Keller
Age: 23
Location: County Road Seven, Harlan County, Nevada
Date: body found August 8; last daytime receipt August 7; tower ping 3:22 AM
Person: Randy Wright
- At 6:14 AM on August 8, a road-grader operator exposed Connie Keller in a dry wash with a face-down phone six feet away.
- The phone’s screen was cracked and laboratory tests showed its battery was fully depleted before 9:00 PM on August 7.
- Despite being dead, the phone’s number registered a ping on a tower covering CR-Seven at 3:22 AM the following morning.
- Connie worked until 5:00 PM at Mesquite Flat Truck Stop, bought a pie at 16:52, and never arrived at her mother’s house that evening.
- Randy Wright, an HVAC technician, was on-site at Mesquite Flat from 14:00 to 17:30 on August 7 and was later served a warrant on September 4.
