Well, here we go ... Episode 3 of Goderich 200, a podcast celebrating the vibrant legacy and people of Goderich as we prepare for our bicentennial in 2027.

A while back I had a member of our community reach out to say that he’d met the most interesting man. The man had shared stories about the town and seemed like a genuine wealth of knowledge. He thought he maybe owned a camera store at one time and he couldn’t quite recall the name but he wondered if I maybe knew of such a man. “Wouldn’t have been Mac Campbell would it?” I asked. "YES" he said, "that’s it, do you know him?"

I said I did, but after chatting with Mac, it turns out that what I knew was mostly surface information and there is indeed a wealth of knowledge, information, facts and great stories beneath the surface.

Today we'll mine for some of that treasure and also chat with Chris Garnier of the Goderich Bicentennial Committee for all the latest in planning details.

My guest today is Dr. George Ebers who has spent a few years now refurbishing the historic Folmar Windmill, a Netherlands-style structure located northeast of Bayfield.

Magnetic Moments at Windmill Lake Farm will happen on Sunday August 30th from 1-4pm, in support of the AMGH Foundation's quest to bring MRI technology to Huron County.
