1. If you had to recommend one translation for someone who wants to get as close as possible to the original meaning, knowing no translation is perfect, which would it be and why?

2. What’s a widely-assumed “biblical idea” that’s actually a later theological or cultural addition/contribution, rather than something in the text itself?

3. If you could spend time with any religious community (past or present), to study them in a totally ethical way, which would you choose and why?
