Monday, November 2nd: Episode 880 takes us to Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, a small French village that became a place of refuge during the Second World War. Led in part by André and Magda Trocmé, ordinary residents opened their homes, provided supplies and documents, and helped thousands of refugees—including many Jewish children—escape persecution. Their courage was not always loud or dramatic; it often looked like preparing food, offering a bed, or guiding someone to safety. Connecting their story with Matthew 25, we see that loving Jesus takes material form when we welcome and protect vulnerable people. A Village of Refuge challenges us to stop waiting until we can solve everything and faithfully serve the person God has placed within our reach.
