Thursday, October 15th: What does Jesus mean when He calls those persecuted for righteousness blessed? In Episode 868 of The Daily Grind, John explores Matthew 5:10–12 and the assurance that God’s favor isn’t measured by the world’s approval. We distinguish persecution for following Jesus from ordinary disagreement and consider why Christians must never become persecutors themselves. Jesus calls us to love our enemies, pray for those who mistreat us, and speak truth with gentleness. Joining the prophets and the wider cloud of witnesses, we discover that costly obedience does not mean God has abandoned us. This episode encourages us to remain faithful, stand with the vulnerable, and trust Christ’s promise that His kingdom belongs to His people.
