Thursday, Oct 1st: In the final episode of our Jesus Is Better series, Hebrews closes with a prayer to the God of peace who raised Jesus from the dead. Jesus is not only our great High Priest but also the Great Shepherd who leads, protects, and faithfully cares for His people. God does not merely command us to do His will; He equips us with everything good we need and works within us to produce what pleases Him. The Christian life is therefore not simply our work for God, but God’s gracious work in and through us. The letter ends with a fitting reminder that everything we have received—from forgiveness to endurance—comes through grace. Keep your eyes on Jesus, trusting the Great Shepherd to lead you home.
