Tuesday, September 29th: Hebrews 13 reminds us that while everything around us changes, Jesus Christ remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. We are called to remember faithful leaders, examine the outcome of their lives, and imitate their faith rather than merely admiring their personalities. Our hearts are strengthened by grace, not by religious rules or rituals that cannot transform us. Jesus suffered outside the city gate, accepting rejection and disgrace to make us holy through His blood. Following Him may also take us beyond comfort, familiarity, and the approval of others. We can follow faithfully because this world is not our permanent home—we are seeking the city that is to come.
