Welcome back. Today’s episode is about unmasking the shame I have felt as a woman, specifically the shame and disconnect around my vulva.
Men this episode if for you as well, not only listeners with vulvas.
My aim for this podcast is to start normalizing not only conversations around vulvas but also normalizing shapes, size, smell, periods and discharge. All are things that I have felt embarrassment for in the past. I talk about different events that lead me to feel disconnected and I share these to raise awareness to issues in our society.
This is not an episode to point blame but one to bring us together, help us all feel accepted. I have been doing a lot of work to reconnect to myself and by doing so it has given me power, confidence and acceptance. This is all my personal experiences which I am sharing in case you have had similar experiences, hopefully this conversation allows you to see that you are not broken and do not need changing.
Everybody is beautiful the way they are and I hope that by listening to this podcast you begin to see that.
