What does an avocado have to do with your business? Picture the pit as everything your team already knows, and that's the key to the freedom gap. Everything surrounding that pit is everything only you know: how you judge a good hire, how you quote the weird jobs, when it's okay to bend a policy. That space between what your business knows and what you know is the freedom gap, and the bigger it is, the more your business depends on you.

In this episode I break down how to stop being the bottleneck in your business using what I call the FREE framework: find, refine, engineer, and equip. You start by finding the knowledge trapped in your head, using the questions your team keeps asking you as a map. Then you refine that instinct into an actual standard, engineer it into something your team can use, whether that's a checklist, a video, or three sentences, and equip your team to actually use it instead of just documenting it and hoping.

I also get into why "stop rescuing your team" might be the hardest and most important shift here, and the three simple questions that show you exactly where to start closing your own freedom gap.
