  • Why Comparison Is Stealing Your Joy
    2026/04/15

    Share Your Thoughts.

In this episode of 5 Minutes & Coffee, we explore how comparison quietly robs us of joy by shifting our focus away from how God created us and onto what the world expects us to be. Using Jeremiah 1:5, this episode reminds us that our identity and worth were established by God long before the world had an opinion.

The world will often criticize what God has uniquely gifted you to do, not because it lacks value, but because it doesn’t fit current expectations.

This episode is a call to stop measuring yourself against others, to recognize the gifts God has given you, and to use them confidently to glorify Him.

Because when you focus on what God has given you, instead of what He gave someone else, you stop feeling “less than” and start walking in purpose.

  • Rain Falls on Everyone

    Share Your Thoughts.

It’s easy to question why some people seem to be blessed, even when their lives don’t reflect God.

In this episode of 5 Minutes & Coffee, we look at Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:45—that God sends rain on everyone, both the just and the unjust. This truth challenges how we think about fairness, blessing, and grace.

Instead of focusing on what others receive, this episode shifts the perspective inward: there was a time when we were also undeserving, yet God still showed us kindness.

God’s blessings are not always a sign of approval—they are often an expression of His mercy.

Because the same grace we may struggle to understand in others…

is the same grace that saved us.

  • Storms That Still

    Share Your Thoughts.

When life feels overwhelming and everything seems to be happening at once, it’s easy to react with stress, confusion, and urgency.

We must ask ourselves, is there another reaction that we can have?

In this episode of 5 Minutes & Coffee, we look at 1 Corinthians 14:33 and Mark 4:39 to show that God is not the author of confusion—He is the source of peace and power. Just as Jesus spoke calm into the storm, can he do that for you and I?

  • The Power of Words
    2026/03/25

    Share Your Thoughts.

Words are often seen as small, but Scripture shows they carry real weight.

In this episode of 5 Minutes & Coffee, we reflect on the blessing given in Numbers 6 and how God chose words as the means to bless His people with peace, protection, and favor. From creation itself—when God spoke the world into existence—to the words we use every day, the Bible reveals that speech has the power to build up or tear down.

Are our words bringing life, encouragement, and peace—or something else?

If God uses words to create and to bless, then we should be intentional in how we use ours.

  • Peace Doesn’t Start With Them
    2026/03/11

    Share Your Thoughts.

Conflict is a part of life, but waiting for the other person to change first can keep us stuck in frustration and division.

In this episode of 5 Minutes & Coffee, we explores what it means to be a peacemaker and why Scripture teaches that peace often begins with our own actions. Drawing from Romans 12:18, the focus is not on controlling how others respond, but on doing our part to pursue peace as far as it depends on us.

Being a peacemaker doesn’t mean ignoring truth or avoiding difficult situations. It means choosing humility, patience, and wisdom even when others may not.

This episode is a reminder that while we cannot control another person’s heart, we are responsible for our own — and God calls us to pursue peace whenever possible.

  • Rumors of War
    2026/03/04

    Share Your Thoughts.

War and conflict can be frightening, especially when the headlines feel constant and overwhelming. But Scripture reminds us that hearing about wars and rumors of wars does not mean the world is ending tomorrow. These things were spoken of long ago, and they should not cause fear among believers.

In this episode of 5 Minutes & Coffee we reflects on what Jesus taught in Matthew 24 and how Christians should respond when the world feels unstable. Instead of panic or speculation, these moments should remind us of something more important: to focus on our salvation, remain faithful, and continue doing God’s will.

The call for believers is not to live in fear of world events, but to live prepared for Christ’s return — trusting that God is still in control of every nation and every moment of history.

When we hear rumors of war, the response should be to stay faithful, stay ready, and keep our focus on the Lord.

  • The Valley
    2026/02/18

    Share Your Thoughts.

We all enjoy the mountaintop seasons of life — when things are going well and faith feels easy.

    But what about the valley?

In this episode of 5 Minutes & Coffee, we reflect on Psalm 23:4 and remember that the valley is not God’s absence — it’s often where His presence is felt most. Whether you’re facing struggles in relationships, work, health, or faith, the valley can be a place of growth, humility, and deeper trust in God.

Sometimes the valley isn’t punishment — it’s preparation for the next mountain.

If you’re walking through a difficult season, this episode is a reminder: God is with you there.
