  • What if the Lord you have been seeking has already come into His temple—and His name is Jesus?
    2026/08/10

Join Pastor Brent and 5:19 House Church in Cartersville, Georgia, for Sunday Service from July 26, 2026, as we study Hebrews 1 and the prophetic announcement: “The Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple.”

In this message, Pastor Brent teaches:

    • The Lord revealed in Hebrews 1 is Jesus Christ. • The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. • The prophets were looking forward to the coming of Jesus. • Joel’s prophecy reveals God’s plan—what was, what is, and what is still to come. • Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. • Through His death and resurrection, Jesus defeated death, hell, and the power of the grave.

The One the prophets expected has come. The Lord has entered His temple. Jesus Christ is King, and He is calling us to seek Him now while He may be found.

Do not wait until tomorrow to surrender to Jesus. Turn to Him today while there is still time.

  • Road to Emmaus – Week 8 | Paul & Luke | Luke 24 • Acts 28
    2026/07/20

Welcome to Week 8, the final message in our Road to Emmaus series.

The risen Christ opened the Scriptures to the disciples on the road to Emmaus, revealing that the entire Bible points to Him. That encounter didn't end on the road—it continued through the ministry of faithful witnesses like Luke and Paul, who proclaimed the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

In this final teaching, we'll explore:

    • Why the Road to Emmaus is foundational to understanding Scripture.
    • How Luke faithfully recorded eyewitness testimony.
    • Paul's calling to proclaim Christ to the Gentiles.
    • The connection between Luke 24 and Acts 28.
    • How the Gospel moved from Jerusalem to Rome—and continues to transform lives today.

The Bible is not merely a collection of ancient writings. It is the living Word of God, preserved by the Holy Spirit and centered on Jesus Christ. From the road to Emmaus to Paul's imprisonment in Rome, Christ continues to reveal Himself through His Word.

  • Sunday Service Week 6 The Road to Emmaus Acts 13 Holy Spirit inspired Gospel
    2026/07/18

How do we build sound biblical doctrine?

In Week 6 of our Road to Emmaus series, we discover that context is everything. Before we build a doctrine, we must first ask: Who wrote this book? Who was the audience? Why was it written? God's Word was never intended to be read in isolated verses but understood within the context the Holy Spirit inspired.

In Luke 24, Jesus opens the minds of His disciples to understand the Scriptures. Then in Acts 13, we see the Holy Spirit actively directing the mission of the Church by setting apart Barnabas, Paul, and John Mark to proclaim the Gospel to the nations. The same Holy Spirit who inspired the Scriptures also faithfully preserved the 66 books of the biblical canon, allowing believers in 2026 to confidently know, study, and proclaim God's Word.

Join Pastor Brent as we continue our journey on the Road to Emmaus and discover why understanding the author, audience, and context of Scripture is essential for faithfully following Jesus Christ.

  • The Gates of Hell Will Not Prevail Against His Church The Road to Emmaus – Week 3
    2026/07/16

The Church is not a building. It's a people.

From the road to Emmaus to today, Jesus has been gathering one Body, one family, one Church—and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18)

In Week 3 of our Road to Emmaus series, we discover that Christ's Church is made up of ordinary people transformed by an extraordinary Savior.

Luke. Cleopas. Mary of Clopas. John. Paul. The apostles. The disciples. You. Me.

Different backgrounds. Different stories. One Lord. One Gospel. One Body.

Whether Jew or Gentile, man or woman, rich or poor, educated or uneducated, every believer who belongs to Christ has been brought together by His grace. Jesus is building His Church, and nothing—not persecution, suffering, culture, or even the gates of hell—can stop what He has promised to accomplish.

Join Pastor Brent as we continue our journey through Luke 24 and see how the risen Christ is still building His Church today.

    📖 Key Scriptures: • Luke 24 • Matthew 16:18 • Ephesians 2:11–22 • Galatians 3:28 • 1 Corinthians 12 • Ephesians 4:1–6

  • Who Was the Unnamed Disciple? The Answer Changes How You See the Church Week 2
    2026/07/15

What if the unnamed disciple on the road to Emmaus wasn't unnamed by accident?

In Week 2 of our Road to Emmaus series, we explore one of the most fascinating questions in Luke 24:

    Who was walking with Cleopas?

Could it have been Mary, the wife of Cleopas (John 19:25)? If so, what does that reveal about the value of every believer in the Body of Christ?

This message is about more than identifying a biblical figure. It's about discovering that every member of the Church matters. Whether your name is remembered by history or not, Christ knows you. The Kingdom of God has no insignificant disciples.

Join Pastor Brent as we examine Scripture, historical context, and the beauty of Christ's resurrection appearance on the road to Emmaus.

You may think you're unnoticed—but Jesus walks with ordinary people.

    📖 Key Scriptures: • Luke 24:13–35 • Mark 16:12–13 • John 19:25 • 1 Corinthians 12

If this message encourages you, please Like, Subscribe, Share, and leave a comment: Who do you believe the unnamed disciple was—and what does their anonymity teach us about the Church today?

  • The Road to Emmaus Week 1 May 31, 2026
    2026/07/12

What if Jesus was walking beside you... and you didn't recognize Him?

In Week 1 of our new 8-part Road to Emmaus series, Pastor Brent explores one of the most powerful encounters in all of Scripture found in Luke 24. Two disciples walked with the risen Christ, yet their grief, expectations, opinions, and understanding kept them from recognizing the very One they had been hoping for.

Could the same thing happen to us?

Sometimes we become so focused on our traditions, our education, our theology, or even our own opinions that we begin telling Jesus about Jesus—just as the disciples did on the road to Emmaus. Instead of recognizing His presence, we become distracted by what we think we know.

This message is an invitation to slow down, open our hearts to the Scriptures, and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal Christ to us once again.

May we never become so busy talking about Jesus that we fail to recognize when He is walking beside us.
