I’ve had a few photographers ask me the same question recently: Should I create a separate website just for my wedding photography?
I totally understand the idea behind having a wedding-focused website, especially if you also offer commercial photography, travel photography, or other types of creative work. But from an SEO perspective, splitting your business across two websites can make things a lot harder!
I’m sharing a real client example of what happened when a photographer launched a separate wedding website, why building rankings on a new domain takes so much work, and what I recommend doing instead.
