  • Acts 17 pt. 1: The Tale of Two Cities

    In this sermon, we observe how two cities responded to the good news of Jesus preached by Paul, Silas, and Timothy. In both cities there were people who responded with faith, but in Berea they examined the words of Paul by the Word of God. This earned them the title of "noble" according to Luke. When people respond to God's word with humility and interest, God gives the gift of faith, and begins to build His Church.

  • Acts 16: "Households of Faith"

    Acts 16 contains the story of Paul, Silas, and Timothy planting the church in Philipi. God soverignly guided His missionaries to bring the good news to Lydia, a prison guard, and even set a young girl free from demon possession. God used these people to build up His household of faith into a church which would stand out like stars among the night sky in the Roman colony of Philipi. God still uses His church to make and mature disciples of Jesus today. Let this story encourage you to remain faithful as God always remains faithful to His work.
