When you need healing, the hardest part is often knowing what to do next. Do you call the elders, ask a gifted person to pray, or just ask a friend? We walk through a clean, Bible-based framework that takes the confusion out of the moment and helps you move forward with faith, not pressure.

We lay out three distinct New Testament pathways for healing: the gifts of healing distributed by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12), a sick believer calling for the elders to pray and anoint with oil (James 5:14–15), and believers praying for one another without needing a title or office (James 5:16). We also talk honestly about what happens when your church has no elders or doesn’t believe in healing, and why God is not limited by anyone’s structure, mood, or theology.

Along the way, we tackle the central question: if anyone can pray for healing, why do gifts of healing exist at all? We offer a practical way to think about gifting, authority, and wise “protocol,” then we invite you to do the simplest thing that often gets overlooked: why not do all three and line up prayer, agreement, and obedience while still letting God be God. We close with a direct prayer for healing and Scripture that anchors healing in God’s words and a strengthened heart. Subscribe, share this with someone who needs prayer, and leave a review with the biggest healing question you’re carrying right now.

We pray for people facing Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo, then we get honest about the tension of praying hard while nothing seems to change. We walk through five biblical reasons God can feel silent and how we keep faith steady without blaming God or giving up.
• interceding for the sick and for frontline medical workers during the Ebola outbreak
• delayed answers in Daniel 10 and why “heard” is not the same as “arrived”
• persistence in Luke 18 and praying without trying to twist God’s arm
• Paul’s thorn and learning to accept a different answer through sufficient grace
• trusting God’s will when the answer is no and remembering God is all-knowing and all-loving
• checking motives and spiritual conditions without assuming every delay means sin
• praying with discipline, intensity, and a clean heart while accepting that God may not explain
