In January 2020, our client Jamie bought her first investment property, a house in Perth, for $320,000. COVID hit a month later, and with her family telling her to hold off, she bought a second house in Brisbane anyway.

Over five years, she held four investment properties across Perth and Brisbane, and by her own spreadsheet, they cost her about $11,000 out of pocket in total before tax.
