This week on Come, Follow Me Moms, we’re diving into Isaiah 1–12 — and if you’ve ever opened Isaiah, read three verses, and thought, “I have absolutely no idea what this man is talking about,” this episode is for you. 😂

Instead of trying to understand every symbol and prophecy, we’re approaching Isaiah with one simple question:

What am I learning about Jesus Christ?

And moms… He is ALL OVER these chapters.

We’ll talk about how Jesus Christ cleans us, teaches us, calls us, qualifies us, counsels us, gives us peace, gathers us, strengthens us, rescues us, and stays with us right in the middle of our lives.

Isaiah 1:16–18 — “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.”

Isaiah 2:2–5 — Going to the mountain of the Lord, learning His ways, and walking in His paths.

Isaiah 6:8 — “Here am I; send me.” What does send me look like in motherhood?

Isaiah 9:6 — Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 11–12 — Discovering the character of Christ and learning to trust instead of fear.

Isaiah 12:2 — “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid.”

We also talk about the idols and comparison traps we face today, worrying more about the world’s approval than God’s, feeling like we don’t belong, and learning to turn to Jesus Christ as our Counsellor and Prince of Peace when motherhood feels chaotic.

One of my favorite questions from studying this week was:

“What experience have you had where God has entered into your story?”

Because we can know all the Primary answers about Jesus — but do we know Him? Have we experienced His comfort? His direction? His peace? His rescue?

We’ll also discuss teachings from President Dallin H. Oaks, President Boyd K. Packer, President Gordon B. Hinckley, President Harold B. Lee, and a thought from C. S. Lewis.

Don’t worry about understanding every single word of Isaiah.

Open your scriptures and pray:

“Heavenly Father, what do You want me to learn about Jesus Christ?”

Then look for Him.

Look for His character. Look for His promises. Look for what He does for His children.

Because Isaiah teaches us that He is in the midst of thee.

He is there in the laundry, the carpools, the hard conversations, the sleepless nights, the worries, the mistakes, and the ordinary moments of motherhood.

And when the Lord asks, “Whom shall I send?” maybe our answer can be:

“Here am I; send me.”
