The Truman Show truly had something for everyone.
For the Jim Carrey fans desperate to see him emerge from the rhinoceros’ [redacted] of typecasting, this was lightning in a bottle.
For the mildly anxious types who distrusted the entire world around them, this was how they finally felt seen.
For psychics, this movie had to be a dream. I mean, it literally spoils the next 30 years of entertainment.
And for us, it was the perfect film to dive into before, atop a painted staircase, we gave the world a final bow.
But you know the deal: Was Truman a Christ figure? Was Christof a SATAN figure? Is determinism all that bad? Was Meryl all that good?
Good afternoon, good evening, and good night friends. See ya when we see ya!
