September is Hope & Prayer Month at Rise 96.5, and this month our Rise presenters have leant into this theme with a daily moment of encouragement, reflection and prayer.

We end our 30 days of hope and prayer with a reflection from Steff on a doxology - that is a short hymn or expression of praise to God, and this one concludes the book of Jude. In just a few words we are reminded of God's protection, our blameless standing before God, and the great joy and eternal praise we will experience in heaven.

Our reset for today is 'The God who has carried you through this month will carry you into tomorrow'.

In today's episode, Ken shares some thoughts around one of the most well known and used benedictions - the Aaronic Blessing. This blessing is found in Numbers, where God instructed Moses to tell Aaron and his sons to bless the people of Israel. The core promise of this blessing is God's personal, active commitment to his people. Instead of a distant deity, the blessing guarantees that the Creator of the universe is intimately involved in your daily life.

As we move towards the end of this special series, Iris opens the Psalms at chapter 91 where God promises us His safety and peace. This passage that talks about dwelling in the shelter of the Most High, reminds us that God acts as a strong tower and safe place during hard times. We will have hard times in our lives, but God promises He will be there through them.

Our reset for today is 'God doesn't promise a life without storms; He promises to be with you in them'.

Today Tim reflects on Psalm 62, and a passage that reminds us that we can find inner peace, rest and and hope in God during troubled times. Psalm 62 verse 5 and 6 tell us to quiet your heart and stop relying on worldly things for security, and that God provides a safe, solid place that cannot be moved or broken by life's troubles.

Our reset for today is 'rest is found in a person, not a perfect life'.

In this episode Joe dives into the Gospel of John, with a passage from chapter 16 where Jesus explains that true peace comes from trusting Him, not from having an easy life. Jesus spoke these words during His final meal with His disciples before His crucifixion, and wanted to prepare them for the fear and grief they would soon face.

Our reset for today is 'trouble may be part of your story, but it isn't the whole story.

Today Nicky turns to the book of Ephesians, and a passage that was written by Paul to encourage the church and convey the immense depth of God's love and capability. In the original Greek, Paul uses the word huperékperissou. This is a double-compound word that translates literally to "beyond all measure," "super-abundantly," or "infinitely more than." Paul essentially creates a new word because standard language could not capture the scale of God's power.

Our reset for today is 'Don't limit God's possibilities to what you can see today. Leave room for God to work in ways you haven't imagined'.

In this episode Steff looks at Romans 12:12, part of a letter from Paul to guide believers on how to live out their faith. This verse is a reminder that hope brings joy even when life is hard, patience helps believers endure hard times without giving up, and that prayer connects people to God. It's actually a list of practical ways to love others and serve God daily.

Our reset for today is 'hope and prayer are habits worth practicing'.

Today Ken dives back into the Psalms, with a passage from chapter 27 that reminds us that God brings truth, guidance, and hope to chase away dark and confusing times. We don't need to fear danger, trouble or enemies, because God acts like a safe fortress or a high rock to protect people from harm.

Our reset for today is 'fear loses its grip when God becomes your focus'.
