Americans are fed up with tip creep or tipflation. We’re being asked to tip more and in more places, yet disagreeing respectfully is deeply taboo. Should you tip the cashier at a bakery? Can you believe some doctor’s offices are beginning to suggest tips?! How much? Do you guilt tip? What about these restaurant surcharges that are discretely showing up on your restaurant bill? What about tipping when you travel abroad - do our tipping habits breed cultural dissonance or even insult?

In this episode of 3 Finger Salute, we took our frustrations and questions to a waitress and hostess. She’ll give us some guidance and along the way, share her restaurant stories about the worst, the best and the most memorable customers, the myriad uniforms she’s had to wear and the secrets to getting stellar service. We guarantee, you won’t feel short changed after listening to this episode!

GUEST: Diane Duthweiler

This episode is ideal for listeners interested in hospitality culture, cultural dissonance and, as always, the art of disagreeing respectfully.

On 3 Finger Salute, join Natasha, Mike, and Kristin as we try to find the middle ground on everything from OnlyFans, to Psychics, to Polyamory Devotees. We often disagree, occasionally agree to disagree, but we never disrespect. If you are interested in finding the middle ground on topical issues through fiery but balanced debate, 3 Finger Salute promises you unfiltered perspectives with candid, funny charm.

They say three’s a crowd, or is it? For some, polyamory is the way they find love and community, a throuple or polycule can be just as fulfilling as the idea of one person being your ‘missing piece’. Polyamorists can find monogamy oppressive and limiting, and if you think polyamory is about “the sex” you are wrong. Relationship agreements, consent and communication to diffuse jealousy are all key tenets.

In this episode of 3 Finger Salute, we’ll speak to a non-binary, bisexual college professor about their poly lifestyle. Be prepared to dispense with your preconceived notions and learn more about the joys and challenges of living polyamory.

GUEST: "Jamie," is using a pseudonym.

This episode is ideal for listeners interested in polyamory, throuple dynamics and alternative romantic connection.
