I recently sat down with Nathan William on the Podcasting Secrets show to talk about something I don't get asked about very often: why I chose podcasting as my main way to build Lightspeed Investing, and why I never treated it like a numbers game.
We got into why I picked precision over popularity, why I'd rather have three to five real relationships from an episode than a big audience that never converts into anything, and how I've used the show itself to build trust with the people I actually want to work with. I also shared where the name Jayhawk comes from, some of what it's been like running a make money firm inside the futures and commodities space, and the biggest lesson I've picked up as an entrepreneur: no matter what business you're in, you're always in the people business.
