TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE:Matthew 7:24–25
Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. [25] And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. (ESV)
SUMMARY
We slow down at the end of the day with Jesus’ picture of a house built on rock and ask what actually holds us up when life gets rough. We connect obedience to a stable foundation and pray for honest clarity about what needs to change.

• Hearing Scripture versus doing Scripture in daily choices
• Life as a house under construction with real structure
• Rain, floods, and winds as the pressures of circumstance
• Security that comes from obedience to Jesus’ instruction
• A closing prayer for deeper submission and restful sleep
So, friends, as you look back over today and the day before, and the week before, and the month before, and the life you've lived before, ask yourself honestly: is my life built on understanding and obeying the instruction of my Lord Jesus?
