On June 3rd, 2024, 38-year-old Margot Wood and her son, Julian, stopped at the Giant Eagle in North Olmsted, Ohio, to pick up groceries.

As Margot pushed Julian in the shopping cart to her silver minivan, the mother and son were attacked by a woman wielding a knife. Three-year-old Julian was killed.

32-year-old, Bionca Ellis had a history of mental illness. But no one could’ve imagined such a brutal attack in broad daylight with people all around.

On October 6th, 2025, Bionca Ellis was in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas in front of Judge John Russo. The defense presented their case and the verdict was in.
