概要

You’ve tried every plan. Taken every action step. Poured in the time, the money, the energy. And it’s still not working.

This week I’m getting real about what it actually looks like to surrender a dream you didn’t want to let go of. I’m not going to tell you surrender means giving up. It’s about releasing the grippy grit, the white-knuckled need to control the outcome, the situation, and how people see you, so something else can finally get in.

I’m sharing where I am right now with my own business (hello, grief), how I stopped spiraling over which action step is “the right one,” and why the question that actually brought me back to myself wasn’t “what’s my next move?” but what’s the real why underneath all of this?

We also get into the “fck it” feral energy so many of us are craving, and what happens after you do the bold thing and the outcome isn’t what you hoped. That’s where the rewriting comes in: not erasing what happened, but looking at what you decided it meant about you.

If you’re in a season of unraveling, refining, or quietly wondering whether to keep going, this one’s for you. And I’m giving you the core question from our Rewriter’s Collective session to take into your own therapeutic writing practice.

Today’s Prompts:

  • Who were you before you learned who you were “supposed” to be?
  • What did you love before you learned what was practical, or impressive, or what was acceptable?
  • What qualities or interests have you outgrown suppressing? And what am you ready to make room for again?
  • Where are you making decisions based on how someone else might respond?
  • What would outside disappointment or disapproval mean about you?

About me: I help female entrepreneurs rewrite the stories that are keeping them stuck in outdated identities so they can stop overthinking, outsourcing decision-making, and playing small. I do this through my Beyond the Story Method and my signature program, Rewritten, which combines narrative therapeutic writing and community.
