Host Ashley Riley returns from a week-long solo trip to Nashville for Americana Fest—filled with live music, panels, parties, a showcase performance, and a SiriusXM taping—sharing how community and unexpected kindness (including a birthday dinner with twin sisters) reinforced her gratitude for music and connection. In “Weekly obsessions,” she highlights Sara Bareilles’ song “Still Crying” from the album Good Grief, reflecting on crying as strength and how creative ideas can feel as if they move through the universe. Ashley then explores the theme of starting over through a signature three-card tarot pull: Eight of Cups (change, walking away, letting go), Ace of Wands (new beginnings and the impatience of waiting for growth), and Four of Swords (rest, nervous system care, and grounding). She tells the story of buying, running, and eventually selling her salon, the turmoil that followed, and the relief and inspiration it sparked in others, ending by sharing her song “Starting Over.”
