Missions 101: How to Get to the End of the World

2 Corinthians 8:1-9

Where will people who do not believe in Christ spend eternity?

- Separated from God in the lake of fire.

What is the remedy?

- The Gospel is the remedy.

What does this mean for us?

- We who know Christ are called to both go and send.

Where are we sent?

- We are sent locally, regionally, nationally and globally.

How does a church like ours send people to the uttermost?

What must happen - How it happens.

1. Salvation - Evangelism.

2. Discipleship - Discipleship. Teaching. Preaching.

3. Calling - Holy Spirit. Praying for Laborers.

4. Training - Leadership Development. Internships.

5. Support - Giving through local churches.

6. Departure - Obedience!

Every church member should get involved in the support of worldwide missions through giving to our missionaries for these 4 reasons.

1. The ability to give is a grace of God. (v.1-4)

2. The attitude to give starts with giving ourselves. (v.5)

3. The act of giving proves a heart for God. (v.6-8)

4. The application of giving imitates the ministry heart of Jesus. (v.9)
