We made it to 200 episodes of Distory 🎉 and we are celebrating by answering YOUR obscure Disney history questions!

On this very special episode of Distory with Kate & Kirk, we’re celebrating five years of Disney history rabbit holes by turning the show over to all of you. Listeners from around the world sent us their biggest Disney history questions, and we’re digging into everything from forgotten attractions and persistent Disney myths to lost concepts, Imagineering details, favorite ride vehicles, Disney soundscapes, and the eternal question of how much the parks should change while preserving their history.

Along the way, we uncover the origins of the Beast’s supposed name “Adam,” trace Walt Disney’s Canadian roots, revisit the history of Fort Wilderness and Big Thunder Ranch, investigate Liberty Square’s infamous “brown river,” explore long-lost concepts like BeatlesLand and a Wizard of Oz ride, and debate which pieces of Disney history should remain untouchable.

We also look back at how Distory began, share some of our own favorite Disney memories and historical eras, and dream about where we’d travel if we could spend one day in any year of Disney park history.
