    2026/10/30

What does it really mean to delight yourself in the Lord? Psalm 37:4 isn't a formula for receiving every possession or outcome we want. In this teaching, Katina Shoni Freeman examines the Hebrew behind “delight” and “desires,” and explains how enjoying God's presence transforms the heart. Discover what it means to surrender self-reliance, become pliable in the Potter's hands, and grow in relational intimacy and alignment with Him.

  • Jesus Our High Priest w/Katina Shoni Freeman
    2026/10/27

Why do we pray in the name of Jesus? Who is He in prayer—and what does it mean that He is our High Priest?

Today, we’re opening Hebrews 4:14–16 and looking at why we can come boldly before the Father. Jesus understands our weaknesses. He offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice, and through Him we can approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find help when we need it.

We’ll also look at the Greek word for high priest, archiereus (ἀρχιερεύς), meaning high priest or chief priest, and the Old Testament passages about the tithe. Numbers 18:21–24 explains the provision for the Levites, who received no tribal land inheritance. Deuteronomy 14:28–29 and 26:12–13 identify the third-year tithe’s provision for Levites, widows, the fatherless, and sojourners.

Where do you need mercy and grace today? Bring that need before the Father through Jesus, our great High Priest.

    Scripture references:

    Hebrews 4:14–16

    Hebrews 9:7, 12; 10:10–14

    Numbers 18:21–24

    Deuteronomy 14:28–29; 26:12–13

    Ephesians 2:18

Greek word: ἀρχιερεύς — archiereus — high priest / chief priest (Strong’s G749)

  • Believe God Before You See It w/Katina Shoni Freeman
    2026/10/26

God has spoken, but you have not seen the fulfillment yet. Will you keep believing Him?

In this episode of 2 Minute Bible Study for Women On the Go, I unpack Luke 1:45, the blessing Elizabeth speaks over Mary, and the Greek word makaria, meaning “blessed.” We also look at Isaiah 55:11 and how faith, surrender, and obedience shape our response to God's word.

Think about what He has spoken to you, and consider how you can follow His leading today.

    Scriptures: Luke 1:45; Isaiah 55:11.

    1. Believe what God has spoken. Elizabeth's blessing over Mary reminds us of the connection between faith and receiving His word.

    2. Let your life reflect your relationship with God. His favor should draw attention to Him as we live in godliness and holiness.

    3. Respond with surrender and obedience. God's word has purpose, and we have a responsibility to believe and yield to His leading.
