We are starting to sense that the majority of America, the 70% Trump disapproval, fed up with e corruption and lies, tired of the incompetence, exhausted by the Racism part of America is finally ready to address thw nation's real past. Not the great Founding Fathers, white people can do no wrong version. but a reality-based history which does not dance around the atrocities of our White forebearers. The history that does not pretend Native Americans were not massacred and Black slaves were not forced to build the greatest economy in the world. An America that can look back at the sins of its past and commit to do better instead of pretending to have a achieved a greatness not yet accomplished. The lies and false aggrandizement of the Trump Era just might lead to a national reckoning if we force it upon ourselves. If not now, when?

Donald Trump keeps pathologically lying about his role in 9/11. It started the actual day of the attack. New Yorkers remember Trump bragging his downtown building was now the city's tallest, which was untrue. Trump said he saw Muslims dancing in the streets celebrating the carnage. Also untrue. Sadly, Trump's lying continues to this day. although now they are more dangerous and more bat shit crazy. Now his lies have evolved to him being carried by several firefighters. Teh story is so absurd it is barely worth debunking. However, the release of information that NYC officials knew the air quality was abysmal confirmed what everyone in New York knew in their gut. The pollution was toxic and led to thousands of victims among first responders and local residents. Mayor Rudy Giulliani and other NYC politicians knew it the whole time. Brock and Mark discuss why police and firemen in NYC still support Trump MAGA despite the lies and policies that kill them. Only Racism can drive this type of behavior, but no one in the American media ecosystem will mention it. America simply will not talk about Racism. And thus it never gets addressed.

It is clearly obvious now that the Trump Administration's decision to import beef from parts unknown has destroyed the business of many farmers in America. Their cries for help are flooding the internet as many go online in an attempt to sell product direct to the consumer. But they are being peppered with questions about their voting record which is triggering anger and defiance instead of self-reflection. The farmers refuse to acknowledge they actually voted for Trump and Project 2025 and do not want to explain the decision. Mark and Brock discuss the entitlement as pro-ICE, climate change denial and tariffs have buried these farmers yet they still vote for the Racism of MAGA. As one tweet noted they are "owning the libs, but losing the farm". The lack of a learning curve is astounding, but also shows how entrenched much of the MAGA rank-and-file remains.
On other topics, the podcasts laments the climate change casualties in Nepal as villagers become the latest victims of greedy policy favoring the fossil fuel industry. Finally, we highlight the candidacy of MIke Collins for Senate in Georgia, Multiple staffers with KKK and Nazi leanings is no surprise to Mark as desperate MAGA candidates will play the white supremacy race card to energize their base. We expect to see more of this headed into the Midterms.

We are several days deep into the controversy surrounding the Hakeem Jeffreies and Jred Kushner secret meeting and the fall out is obvious. First off, Hakeem was played because in leaking the story MAGA has gotten the Democrats unfocused for three full days. Instead of energizing a huge voter turnout, Hakeem is backpedaling and gaslighting. That is his fault. Not our fault. With 70 days until game day, the Leader should be laser-focused on the task at hand, not pussyfooting around with the opposition. Any sports fan knows that coaches lecture their players on not creating bulletin board material, trying to keep them locked on performance not theatrics. Thus, it is an egregious leadership violation to be the distraction and that is Hakeem. This is why he does not have the judgment or the court awareness to make the right play. Mark and Brock have bemoaned the lack of leadership on the Left for 18 months, but at ttis point would rather no leadership than a poor one.
Please spare us the affordability sham as the reason for a clandestine meeting. Jared, nor Trump, care a lick about the problems of the American people. They are in this for personal enrichment. So Hakeem can save us the attempt at gaslighting. Brock finds himself shocked to agree with the take of James Carville who says the only time he wants to hear from Jared is under oath. We can put this issue to bed for now if Hakeem promises to stay out of the way, but he should definitively be replaced after the Midterms, Win or lose. He is not in tune with his electorate.

Also, a sad RIP to Dolly Parton one of the great performers and humanitarians of our lifetime. She provided the blueprint for using one's success to uplift others in so many ways. We have lost a giant.

Obviously, Donald Trump is so desperate to address the affordability hoax that he is importing subpar beef from Argentina. Meat so unsafe that the China government has refused to purchase even with 1.2 billion mouth to feed, So, the lack of caring for the health and safety of the American public is surprising even for the Trump Administration. But the political headwinds are strong against MAGA as inflation has not been fixed as promised ot be on day one. The residual damage of the import decision is the undercutting of U.S. ranchers. Those Racist MAGA triple Trumpers are finally souring on their beloved Leader now that are being adversely effected.
The recklessness of the Trump Admin on our grocery store beef aisle was only matched by that of San Franciso 49ers owner Ned York caught up in a mobile home prostitution sting. Mark and Brock see the arrest as fallout from the loss of Epstein Island. Ned York would have certainly been on the Lolita Express. We will get to Deshaun Watson at a later date. The NFL has no bottom.

Mark and Brock are outraged for the secret, backroom meeting between Hakeem Jeffries and Jared Kushner for many reasons. First off, the only question Hakeem should ask is: Will Trump allow for a free and fair election and honor the results. If so, tell Jared to go back to the White House and get Trump to issue a statement as such. if not, there is no other topic worth discussing. If Trump will allow fair voting and counting, then Jared can reschedule a follow-up meeting after the Epection. At that point, Hakeem can negotiate from strength. But our worry is the topic sdiscussed were Israel and avoiding impeachment, and avoiding investigations and AIPAC money. And in wgat capacity was Jared attemding the meeting? He is not a government official. He is a businessman being $200mm per year by the Saudis. Is there any way he has the interests of the American people at heart? No way. hakeem Jefffries showed weakness and dishonesty in taking the meeting and in the boilerplate statement released after the meeting was disclosed. Hakeem should be replaced by the Democratic Party. He should not seee a single day as Majority Leader. He is a leader of none. Certainly not the actual voters.

Hawaii and Spokane are other recent victims. Also, the gutting of FEMA means there is no help on the way in any meaningful way. The stripping of funding from NOAA means we don't have early warning systems in place. So we are constantly blindsided. America has decided that helping each other on our worst days is not important. Of course, Gary is also a racism story. Poor and urban Black people are deemed less important so the response time unsurprisingly slow. Lives will be lost. Another example of America in decline.

It was a very bad couple of days in the United States with likely more ahead. Brock holds out hope White America's reaction to election interference in the Midterms could be extreme and confrontational, but Mark is not optimistic. He questions why anyone wants to live here anymore.
