Why is the Bible so important? And what does it actually mean to say that Scripture is the Word of God?

This week, Steve, Rich, and Sarah dive into why Scripture is the foundation for theology and one of the most important ways we come to know God. Creation reveals incredible things about God’s character and greatness, but there is a limit to what we can learn from nature alone. Scripture gives us something more.

The Bible is a collection of 66 books, written by more than 40 authors over roughly 1,500 years and yet, it consistently reveals the character of God and points us toward the Messiah. Rich describes that unity as nothing short of a miracle. Together, they explore what it means for Scripture to be inspired by God, why Christians can know the Bible is infallible, and how we can respond to some of the common criticisms surrounding it.

They also take a step back and consider something foundational: Christianity isn’t simply built on what was written in a book. It’s built on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus and Jesus Himself treated Scripture as the Word of God.

So, what does that mean for how we read, study, and trust the Bible? Tune in as Steve, Rich, and Sarah unpack why Scripture matters and why it’s worth taking hold of.
