THIS WEEK'S MESSAGE: Today's Fireside is asking us to be honest. I explored a little bit about what the origin of 'honest' stems from. It began as a word associated with honor in society. I've always connected it to telling the truth, but if our honesty can only be safe to be accepted or rejected by society then I'd say it's challening for us to actually be honest. As women that could mean that we're afraid of what our honesty might mean to be accepted and loved and for a man it could look like losing respect and status. That trickles down to our children and builds superficial society where we are disconnected from our truth and one another. It's time to be honest so we can build and liberate those around us.
