"Prime Directive" is in the Dino cup because Kimberly put it there after finding out Cara Jean is a Star Trek nerd too, and Cara Jean immediately takes it somewhere Starfleet never went: the collapse of society. Star Trek has always gestured at one enormous event on Earth that forced everyone to unify, and the show has never actually taken us there. From there it is the pandemic as a possible turning point, the Star Trek no-money future that did not arrive, crypto arriving instead and the Ferengi standing there as a warning label about capitalism nobody checked.

Then the tangents take over. Replicators, why 3D printing quietly stalled out, forgeries in Leverage: Redemption, what Kimberly learned about Miss Piggy on a tour of the Henson Muppet Factory and Cara Jean announcing she would like to be a Muppet named Et before pitching a series where the Muppets fail beautifully at upholding the Prime Directive without ever quite breaking it. Kimberly tells the story of being a bored kid at the Thanksgiving parade until Scott Bakula's float rolled past, her arms shot up, and he waved back. 😍

It lands somewhere neither of them announced in advance. If you wrote your own prime directive, who would be ready for it, and who is just not here yet? Kimberly's answer is that it is plural and situational, and if it has to come down to one thing, that thing is consent.
