Every system in the style world is built to sort you into something. None of them are built to actually see you.

There's a quote from stylist Kimberly Parry worth sitting with: when image is done right, it becomes your three second resume. People form an idea of who you are before you open your mouth.

Most systems answer that with a type. Body type, color season, archetype. Stack enough of them and the read gets closer. It rarely gets exact.

There's a different way archetypes get used, one built to dissolve a complex rather than assign a category. I share my own story with this one, moving from a Cinderella kind of role in someone else's story to something entirely outside that hierarchy.
