Brendon and Ronnie take the top of the show to talk some Los Angeles basketball... for all the wrong reasons. They talk about the incredibly sudden (and shady) sale of the Lakers and then reflect on how every new release of Pablo Torre's investigation into the Clippers makes the NBA's "independent" investigation look worse. In the bottom of the show, the argument is made that, with all of the NBA's woes, now is the worst time for a MLB Lockout. Along the way, the fellas wonder if franchise ownership has entered an era of asset flipping and stump (again) for promotion and relegation in American sports. Brendon thinks the kids are all right, and reveals what brought him back to baseball after the 1994 MLB Players Strike. Ronnie blames Shohei Ohtani for how he says "New Balance," and knows way more about the X's and O's of basketball than he leads on.
