You finish your pitch, ask "any questions?" and get silence. That's not a good sign. It's a warning.
𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻:
- Why silence after a presentation doesn't mean people understood
- How to suggest the questions your buyers are too shy to ask
- Why unanswered questions quietly damage your deals
People don't ask questions for all sorts of reasons. They haven't thought of one yet. They feel awkward. They don't want to look silly or cause a scene. So they stay quiet, and the doubt stays with them.
In this episode I share what I learned from years of public speaking. When the room goes quiet, don't move on. Say "people usually ask about these three things" and answer them. It shows you know your stuff, shows confidence on tricky topics like price, and it might just answer the question that was going to cost you the deal.
