“Take the helmet of salvation.” (Ephesians 6:17a)

What exactly are we protecting our minds from? Why does Paul connect the helmet of the armor of God with salvation? And how can knowing that we are saved actually change the way we think, live, and respond when the enemy attacks?

In this episode, Kate walks word-by-word through Ephesians 6:17a to uncover why salvation is the perfect protection for our minds. Together, listeners will discover that salvation isn't simply something that happened the day they trusted Jesus. Scripture reveals a threefold salvation: we have been saved from the penalty of sin, we are being saved from the power and pleasure of sin, and we will one day be saved from the presence of sin forever.

Kate identifies three ways we can lose sight of what God has given us—living as grace ingrates, wealthy beggars, and eternity amnesiacs—and then replaces those lies with the truth of Scripture.
