In this first episode, we’re going back to the moment Jesus said, “Follow me.” We’re diving into Matthew 4:19–20 and exploring what it actually means to follow Jesus, what we have to leave behind, and how He can take the skills, experiences, and even the mess of our past and use them for His Kingdom.

We’ll look at the Greek word akoloutheo, which means more than simply walking behind someone. It’s about accompanying Jesus, aligning our lives with Him, and ordering our steps after His.

We’ll also connect this moment to Abraham following God into the unknown in Genesis 12 and the Israelites following God’s direction through the wilderness in Exodus 13.

Because following Jesus doesn’t mean knowing exactly where you’re going. It means trusting the One who does.

And the best part? Jesus doesn’t ask you to become a finished, perfect version of yourself before you follow Him. He says, “I will make you.”
