  • Marathon Longevity with Multiple Olympian Lisa Weightman

    Before our guest joins us, Xylon learns to tie shoelaces, we cover a listener question on heart rate during warm up and we review the Diamond League in Silesia. We then touch on the records from the Leadville 100 before a look at the Chicago and Sydney Marathon fields. Our guest, joining us to discuss her upcoming Sydney Marathon is Lisa Weightman is a 4 time olympic marathon representative, qualifying for her first olympics in her debut marathon in London 2008 running 2:32:32. Her marathon personal best is 2:23:15 from Osaka 2023, and she has run a 68:48 half marathon. Beyond her Olympic achievements, she won a Silver medal at the 2018 Delhi commonwealth games and a bronze in the 2010 New Delhi commonwealth games. She’s a a 3 time top 8 finisher at world marathon majors, twice national champion in the half marathon and the winner of the 2013 Melbourne marathon, 2010 Nagano olympic commemorative marathon and 2009 Christchurch half marathon.
