Do you keep saying things like "I'm inconsistent," "I'm not capable," or "I always mess things up" without ever asking where that came from?
Has one comment from someone sent your mind straight to "something must be wrong with me"?
Are you still carrying words someone said to you years ago, even though they might not even remember saying them?
In this episode, I'm sharing how to recognize when someone's words became a label God never gave you, so you can stop wearing it and start agreeing with what He says is true about you. I'm telling you about a recent moment when one simple comment had me questioning whether I even know how to communicate, and what it taught me about the tags I've been carrying. We'll talk about the difference between "I'm struggling with this" and "this is who I am," and why we have to be careful about giving another person the authority to name us. We'll look at 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Ephesians 2:10, and I'll share the simple, honest prayers I'm learning to bring to Jesus when a lie shows up. Your one step this week: one tag, one truth.
