著者:
A strong strategy can still fail when the organization lacks the ownership, workflows, measurement, and decision-making rhythm required to carry it forward.
What they thought was wrong:
They thought they needed better marketing, more leads, stronger content, a new campaign, or another strategy. When results did not follow, the strategy, agency, or marketing itself often took the blame.
What everyone missed:
The organization did not have the internal capacity to carry the strategy forward. Ownership was unclear. Employees and vendors worked from different assumptions. Leads were not followed up consistently. Results were reported but did not shape the next decision. The strategy may have been sound, but the system required to execute it did not exist.
What changed:
The focus shifted from delivering more recommendations to building the structure behind execution: one priority, one accountable owner, defined roles, clear workflows, simple operating procedures, a measurement rhythm, and a process for reviewing results and making adjustments.
Why it matters:
Strategy is not complete when the presentation is delivered. It is complete when the organization can execute, measure, adjust, and continue without starting over or remaining permanently dependent on an outside agency. A strategy is not simply a document. It is a continuing system of decisions.
